Christmas Party For Special Children 2015

AAA

Rowben Consulting is proud to be supporting the Christmas Party for Special Children in 2015!

Here’s a little about this great cause.

Melbourne’s Christmas Party for Special Children is in its 21st year and gives children who are sick, terminally ill, physically and mentally challenged, or disadvantaged through circumstance, the opportunity to celebrate Christmas and have fun in a safe and accepting environment.

The organisation works with over 400 different charities, welfare organisations, special schools, and community groups to give 3000 deserving children a day they will never forget. The children enjoy rides, entertainment, food, drinks, ice cream show bags, two beautiful gifts and of course  a visit from Santa. This is all made possible by the generous sponsorship and support of Victorian businesses, community organisations and individuals who come together to produce a truly magical event for the children.

The Christmas Party for Special Children was born out of a request from the United Nations back in 1979, to help celebrate the International Year of the Child. Eventually, in 1994, the Melbourne party began with this purpose in mind, and since then they have given over 100,000 children the chance to celebrate the festive season in a place where they can be themselves.

Christmas Party for Special Children are seeking sponsorship, product donations and volunteers for their event. If you or someone you know is interested in supporting the party, the organisation can be reached on 1300 730 066 or via email at melbourne@christmasparty.com.au
